The Ancient DNA map shows a geographical distribution* of the most reported ancient samples. The map is adapted and based on a public dataset generously made available by Carlos Quiles at Indo-European. To access both the ArcGIS Online map and the Google Drive folder with the dataset visit www.haplogroup.info.


Samples:

The oldest samples in the dataset range from +400.000 years to about 50.000 years but without any DNA results. Samples with DNA results range from the oldest about +48.000 years ago close to the youngest within a century from current date, refer to the graph below.
